In todays class of imaging we did a recap of the that we learnt in the first semester that is illustrator and photoshop, sir gave us a reference poster and instructed us to replicate the same. the aim was to make the posters look alike , using both the softwares.
For the poster i began by creating it on illustrator, I started with the cliffs i sketched out all the cliffs using the pen tool later I filled it with colour sir told us to use tints and tones of brown to create a fading effect which was very useful. then I started with the grass. I made it using the pen tool were also made and coloured using the gradients. later I made the background of sky and water, which was a gradient of blue and white . the base of the poster which was grass was also made using pen tool and gradient tool.
In the second half i began creating the human figure sir gave us a few tips which helped me a lot, after creating the human figure I added few touch ups to the sea.
Lastly i worked with the text part of the poster. sir mailed us few fonts that is Polar one and Mark script which helped us .I used the warp tool to rise the font and give it a curve. and placed the text one behind the other to give a 3D effect which was a bit difficult . lastly i added the texture and reduced the opacity.
REFLECTION
todays assignment was a great way to start the semester as it was a thorough revision of both the softwares. using both the softwares in one class made me understand the difference between the both softwares. ie drawing was easier in illustrator where as adding texture was in photoshop. i had to do my assignment again as i forgot to save it. but when i was doing it for the second time i completed the poster quickly because i got the hang of it.
