IMAGING WEEK 10

1st NOVEMBER 2019.

A little brief was given about the types of image editing that is Destructive & Non destructive. Destructive editing tools are eraser tool , Lasso tool. where on the other hand on When pixels aren’t deleted but hidden it’s known as Non Destructive editing. non Destructive editing tools are Layer mask.

After learning about the clip mask tool we were now introduced to layer mask. Layer mask helps to hide the unwanted part of an image but it only works with black & white or gradient.

  1. The layer mask tool appears at the bottom of the layer panel and here is how one can use
  2. Add a layer mask to the layer.
  3. Click on the masked square start the editing.
  4. Select the brush tool to reveal or hide the unwanted image
  5. you can select the gradient instead of the brush tool and follow the same procedure.
  1. place an image on one layer of your choice.
  2. on the other layer place divide the image (let one side be black)
  3. write an text
  4. select the layers , and clip mask them.
