26th SEPTEMBER,2019.
In todays class we were supposed to understand a city in general and write down few words which describe a city. Population, vibe, home, food etc. After understanding and discussing different factors and elements which make it feel like a city we were asked to pair up where one person would describe one city and the other person would speak about Mumbai. My partner and I noted down various points and differences and had a healthy conversation. Many were asked to share their experience like miss asked about Delhi and their views about the same, some had fun as well as scarring memories. The memories make or break our vision towards a particular city, even if it’s a small instance it sets an impact. this discussion helped us to creates an image in our head even if we have never been to that city.
In the second half of the class we were given a small assignment in which every one was supposed to write few pointe which describe their favourite city and justifies why it is their favourite but the twist was that it cannot be their home town.I chose Manali in Himachal Pradesh, India as my favourite city.
ESSAY
The very name Manali evokes visual of snow-covered mountains, stately deodar tree, apple Archard’s and tumbling Beas. Manali is a calm and quite place in the Western Himalayas. It is a nature lover’s paradise. For the overworked urbanite, it is an ideal place to relax. Manali has a legendary past, it has a history much beyond the Epic Age. It has derived its name from Vaivasvata Manu, the seventh one whose boat landed on this part of the Himalayas after the Deluge. The climate in Manali is predominantly cold during winter and moderately cool during summer.it is also known for its fun activities like
- River Rafting
- Skiing
- Paragliding

When sound of exhilaration seems to be coming far above from sky and only colorful para-gliders could be spotted above head, the site is most probably Solang Valley of Manali Hill Station, which has a uniqueness that stands out from any other paragliding site in India.
