In begin with the final model, We had decided to work with MDF as our base material. We started by making the base and the rod to attach the other parts. The model couldn’t exceed the height of one feet .Continuing, we built two rods and attached it with the belts respectively.
The process of our final product started with the basic thinking about the types of connection that we wanted to portray through our product. After all the thinking we finalised our connection with the HIP BUMP. Just to understand the connection in a better way we drew 5 different views of the same. Now we were to abstract the entire thing in a way where the action could actually be done. We drew 5 different sketches out of which we finalised on one. Now to get the idea on how our final product would work out and what materials would it be made out of, we made 3 different prototypes with different materials that were card paper, bangles and wire. After we were done with all the thinking and trying out our connection we moved onto the final and the main product. Now the materials that were decided by us were MDF board, sheet metal and velcro.
It was quite a task to put it all together as we were somewhat lost while the making but finally got the hang of it.
